SPECIAL NOTICE
PROCEDURE FOR CLIENTS SEEKING EYEGLASS ASSISTANCE
DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION FORM ON OUR BMW NEWS HOMEPAGE
The "BMW Lion's Sight Program" has been modified to better facilitate the Club's mission of aid members of our community with need to access to eye exams and basic therapeutic appliances like glasses and hearing aids. We do this by working jointly with the Chesterfield County Social Services located in Chester.
THE PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:
A. After a potential candidate demonstrates a need for services they are referred to us by their caseworker.
This consists of a phone call to the BMW Lions club secretary advising that a form, which outlines the candidate?s circumstances, is forthcoming.
B. After we get the form a letter is sent by the club to the individual. It acknowledges that the aid is approved and outlines what they must do to receive the assistance.
NOTE ! ALL POTENTIAL CLIENTS MUST WORK THROUGH THEIR COUNTY CASEWORKER. IF THEY CONTACT A MEMBER DIRECTLY POINT THEM TO THE COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES.
